Tadpoles are hatching!!! Today we turned improper fractions into mixed numbers and vice versa. Then we listened to Harry Potter, continued reading Hatchet, and had PE and Spanish. This afternoon we finished The Secret Pool about vernal pools, identified the perspective some of our class books what written from (first or third person), and did a little writing.

Today we practiced adding fractions, learned more about vernal pools (salamanders, frogs, etc.), read some Hatchet and Harry Potter, and wrote in the "third person" during writer's workshop.

Today we talked about the numerator, denominator, and how to compare fractions. Then we read more Harry Potter and Hatchet, met with reading groups, finished up our banners/shields, and had both Spanish and PE!

Today we refreshed our memories on the basics of fractions. We listened to more Harry Potter, did some partner reading with Hatchet, talked about Glenburn Pride in the classroom, read more of our Maine A-Z book, and worked on our banners/shields for Friday's party.
