We went on an awesome field trip to Leonard's Mills today! We got to take a wagon ride, catch alewives from Blackman Stream, run the fish maze (obstacle course), watch a blacksmith work, do crafts, and much more! Great day!

Today we met with Mrs. Springer to talk about our snack challenge results. Then we worked with decimals in math and read more Touchblue for reading. This afternoon we learned a little about alewives and the Lombard Log Hauler for the field trip tomorrow. Writing to end the day!

Today we learned a bit about decimals, then read more Touchblue and did a webquest on Leonard's Mills. This afternoon we had a dress rehearsal for the concert tonight!

Today we learned how to find a common denominator between two fractions. Then we listened to Harry Potter, discussed the setting, characters, and superstitions in Touchblue, and critiqued two writing pieces this afternoon!

Today we used division to find equivalent fractions, a.k.a. simplify. Then we listened to more Harry Potter (one chapter left!) and started Touchblue by talking about island schools and what "superstitions" are. This afternoon we took a quick quiz on commas and continued writing our narrative pieces.

Today we practiced using commas and quotation marks correctly. In math we learned about equivalent fractions and how to use multiplication to find them. We took a test on Hatchet and then continued working on our narrative pieces.

Welcome back! Today we compared fractions with different numerators and denominators. We got our new spelling list (suffixes -ly, -ful, and -ion), learned about character traits, and wrote a paragraph about Hatchet. This afternoon we met with reading groups, listened to two pages from Maine A to Z, and learned how to write a good ending for our narrative pieces.
