Today we worked on contractions and apostrophes in grammar. We practiced graphs, word problems, factors, multiples, and prime/composite numbers in math. During centers we met with reading groups, took AR quizzes, and watched a video about the state of Maine. This afternoon we read some Harry Potter and used the Chromebooks to work on our writing pieces.

Welcome back! Today we worked on composite and prime numbers. We have only two chapters left in Harry Potter! In spelling we talked about the prefixes -un, -dis, and -in. This afternoon, we did AR quizzes, reading groups, and worked on our animal writing pieces.

Today we practiced editing skills in grammar. In math we learned about multiples and factor pairs. After a "check in" and "drawing conclusions" practice we kept reading Harry Potter. This afternoon we learned how to insert a picture into our pieces, then wrote!

Welcome back! Today we practiced pictographs and word problems in math. We talked about -ge. -dge, -xc, -x, and -qu sounds in spelling, and continued reading Harry Potter in reading. This afternoon we checked out a live webcam of a great horned owl before working on our animal pieces.
