Today we learned about sentences vs. fragments and practiced solving equations for variables. In reading, we pulled out details about the Hogwarts classes and used them to play a guessing game. This afternoon we kept researching for our Maine animal reports!

Today we did a little algebra with variables....and they did well with it! We also talked about -en, -le, and -al endings in spelling and read some more Harry Potter. This afternoon, Miss Porter met with reading groups and then we got started with informational writing on Maine animals!

Today we went over the Unit 3 math test, so as to understand our mistakes for the re-take tomorrow. Then we read more Harry Potter, finished the "mystery calendar picture" activity, and took our mid-year writing prompt.
