Today we had Spanish first thing. Then we practiced math problems that gave us too much information. We read a little Ivan, plus finished up reading centers. PE was Halloween-themed! This afternoon we did more writing...

Today we practiced multiplying 3-digit by 1-digit numbers using area model method and traditional method. Then we did reading centers and practiced drawing conclusions. This afternoon we had computer lab and continued opinion pieces in writer's workshop.

Today we learned about singular and proper nouns in grammar and continued reading The One and Only Ivan. In math, we practiced traditional multiplication. After library we continued publishing our opinion pieces...

Today we practiced estimating using area model multiplication. Our next spelling list is about ending -s, -es, no change, or change the whole word. We talked about Text-to-Media connections while reading Ivan. This afternoon we did grammar re-takes, small reading groups, and writer's workshop!

Today we learned about common and proper nouns. We started some basic multiplication and continued reading Ivan. Then in writer's workshop, we talked about peer conferencing and kept working on our opinion pieces!

Happy Monday! Today we started "area multiplication" and learned about plural endings -s and -es. We read a little more in The One and Only Ivan, and learned how to write introductions and conclusions for our opinion pieces.
