We had a busy, but good day! Besides PE and Library, we took a Grammar Quick Quiz, listened to Fish in a Tree, did holiday/reading/math centers, and had our Holiday Party!

Today we had Spanish and PE. We practiced word problems and then took another Quick Quiz in math. During book clubs we had a pop quiz and then did a drawing/cartoon of a scene from Dear Mr. Henshaw. This afternoon we worked on our author letters in writer's workshop before a fire drill.

Today we practiced checking division with multiplication and did more word problems. Then we listened to Fish in a Tree, and played a Jeopardy game about Dear Mr. Henshaw. This afternoon we had computer and then continued writing letters to authors.

Tuesday, December 15th, 2015

Today we practiced finding nouns, verbs, and verb phrases. The After Craft Sale was very exciting and chaotic, but we did our best escorting our book buddies around. We listened to Fish in a Tree, read some Dear Mr. Henshaw, compared and contrasted the characters of Ally and Leigh, and then kept working on our author letters! Busy day!

Today we practiced long division, listened to more Fish in a Tree, worked with "ou" and "ow" during spelling, read some Dear Mr. Henshaw together, and started graphic organizers for the writing competition we're entering.

Happy Wednesday! Today we started basic division; it's the inverse operation to multiplication! Then we listened to more Fish in a Tree, met with our Dear Mr. Henshaw Book Clubs for more reading and a page quest, and finished the day with writer's workshop!
